I don’t know about you, but it’s taken me a long time to find something that soothes my mind when all about me have been busy needing looking after.
I recently turned 43 and this seemed to trigger some latent gene on my mother’s side and I found I couldn’t get enough of gardening. Our garden has never looked so good. I’ve hacked back over grown trees, edged lawns and even put in a new flower bed.
If you speak to a medical professional about emotional issues they will, without fail tell you to get outside and go for a walk. There is something incredibly calming about being in the open air. For me the added bonus of making something pretty completes the treatment.
Take the time hidden supporters to find something you enjoy and can escape to. Time on your own is precious and healing.
